Instead of issuing plastic bags to shoppers at checkouts, from June 1 Target will require shoppers to either bring their own bags or buy reusable bags for $1 each or compostable corn starch bags for 10 cents each. I hope they do that over here soon. Our local Target is being overrun by the Walmart crowd. So not only would this help the environment, but it would also probably run them back to Walmart, returning Target to a state of relative peace, quiet, and coolness.
